lone scar

At dVerse tonight is Quadrille #22 and our host calls thus:

Hey, gang. De (WhimsyGizmo) here, and it’s time again for the Quadrille, when we write a poem of exactly 44 words, including a specific word provided. Today, I’d like you to play with the word scar.

***   ***   ***   ***   ***   ***   ***

it’s funny how invisible

hurt can be

how what feels like turmoil

inside

can look like serenity

outwardly

the original pain buried

deep behind a scar

exposed but hiding

where no light shines

a forgotten place

a deep wound

echoing itself

silently

alone

alone

Powerful ending….the echo of the two words after each other on separate lines….alone
    alone
This somehow reminds me of depression — that insidious disease that so many suffer with silently…scars within.
    Well penned.
And I hope my friend, you recognize the value of your words here….not scribbles at all. Words so appreciated that mark your value well.

Lilian. Those are some perceptive and heartfelt comments. Thank You. Brought a tear to my eyes. The poem is about depression. As for my words they will always be scribblesnto me 😉

Ah Paul…..important to remember that out of scribbles from the past, great deeds have been accomplished and great thoughts have come 🙂
