It’s 2017 and a Happy New Year to all of you. Bjorn is back with the Quadrille #23 prompt for dVerse, which I am late responding too ( still very much in Holiday mode).
Here is my effort to write a 44 word poem on the theme ‘curl’
~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~
curl back pages of the poet’s mind
to
unfurl words of times past as
beings
that swirl with the melody and rhythm of echo
which
upon the parchments of yesterday twist and twirl so that
I
may hurl them into this paperless future
write
~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~
I like the rhyme linking curl and twirl.
Thanks Frank. This one kinda flowed out all by itself.
That gif is mesmerizing ~ How we can all twirl and curl ~ Write calls to action. Just do it 🙂
Thanks Grace.
You had me floored at the opening lines…!!❤️ Beautifully penned.
Heartfelt Thanks Sanaa
Love the thought of follow that curve into the future… who says that movements should follow a straight line… I like to think of time is eddies in a river.
Am all about the curve, the spiral..anything but straight lines 😉
Made me smile.
Glad to hear it.
I love the spiral energy running through the writing – happy new year to you too!☺
Thank You.
I guess that’s what poets do – twirl and swirl words and then hurl them into immortality. I chuckle at the peel back the pages of a poet’s mind – that thought makes my mind reel – the poet’s mind might be a dangerous place (maybe we might not want to peel that back 😉 )
The peeling back can be so revealing though.
Yes, I’m just kidding. I love peeking into a poet’s mind. Very interesting people.
