spectre(cle)

Happy Monday, dVerse poets, and welcome to the pub, which is now open! It’s Kim from Writing in North Norfolk bringing you the Q44, our Quadrille, when we take any meaning of one word and transform it into 44 poetic words. Today, I want you to write a poem of exactly 44 words (not counting your title), including the word ghost.

ghost me into that realm

where the transcendental voids itself

where all begins and ends

where being is breathed into form

from silence

from the formless

from the ghost of itself

light translucent shadow form

that is always there

by our side

ghost dancing

  1. Hi Paul! I love the way you have repeated the word ghost, each time with a different meaning and the idea of being breathed into form from silence. And I would love to experience ghost dancing!

  2. From nothing comes everything, just as white holds all the colors of the rainbow even though it is perceived as no color, a blank canvas, but full of potential, waiting to dance.
