So your responses on this beautiful essay by Kim is themed “The Poet’s Craft” reflect on your own experiences as haiku and tanka poets.
daffodils bend heads
poet ponders the image
but no haiku here
Dude. That is nasty-hot. Flowers, takin’ a knee, so to speak.
In all seriousness, there is some Daft Punk, Daffy Duck, deftness, AND taffy in your title. So I am all over this tiny bit(e) of yum.
😉
Oh, and banana. That’s my favorite flavor … in case you were wonderin’.
Your comments are wondrous. I don’t have a fave flave…in case you were wonderin 😉
Hee hee. 🙂

Ooh, that is NICE! I love the visual presentation. Very cool. Pretty browns.
Thanks. Maybe a back up blog…or maybe something else. Not sure yet.
Awesome haiku. Nicely crafted and full of natural beauty. Thank you for sharing it with us at Carpe Diem Haiku Kai.
Thank You.
Excellent, Paul.
Thanks.
Great title, Paul, and a nice twist (bend) in the haiku!
Thanks. I enjoyed the essay and congrats on the Haiku comp. This prompt gave me something to chew on…all the Haiku I have written have been ‘classic’ form I guess. (I’m learning still) Cutting word, seasonal word etc….your examples in the essay later did not seem to have those.( but i could be wrong) Is this a different kind of Haiku?
We do write in the classical form but also follow the late Jane Reichold’s haiku lessons. Kristjaan’s one of her followers and often refers to her books and articles.
ok…good to know…i’ll look her up.
Enjoyed!
definitely a haiku crafted Paul
much love…
I love the title you gave this too and your haiku is fabulous! :o)
Daffodils will do that to you. They can be a very cliched flower. 🙂
Enter the world of haiku, Paul. You are off to a grand start here!
