Tis poetics night at dVerse and Bjorn offers us this prompt.
Taste the soil or bite the dust, bring me poetry from what you sense in soil.
Be gravedigger or gardener, be soil of your origin and dig it deep.
When you have written your poem, post it to your blog and link it to Mr. Linky below. Please link directly to your poem and not just to your blog, and please also refer back to dVerse.
Then enjoy the poetry of others. Learn and promote what you love by commenting. We are each other’s soil and grow from comments.
this dance of soil with soul
winter and spring may differ
life worms it’s way up
fingers wriggle in the ground
tree roots hold swaying branches
Each year we’re treated with the gift of the dance of soil! Good read.
Really like all you’ve captured in the brevity of this, Paul.
It is a beautiful dance of the soul Paul !
Ooh I love this! 😀 Exquisite write!❤️
Yes when the fingers wriggle heart beats faster.
come spring every thing wants to join in the dance
I loved your dancing soil-soul tanka, Paul. But it’s a bugger to write a comment on a Kindle!
I love the images of life worming its way up and fingers wriggling in the ground.
terrific tanka Paul – “We are each other’s soil and grow from comments” – poetry in itself
Much to contemplate here in this beautiful poem.
I like how life “worms” its way around.
Every word a delight.
Beautiful! 🙂
