Tonight I am hosting MTB at dVerse and the focus of our attention is the ghazal.
I have re written my first ghazal to incorporate a rhyme scheme along with the refrain which is used differently.
here, this moment I stand in, falling leaves break me
for wearing my soul as a skin, falling leaves break me
life has fashioned a hole right where my heart used to reside
and I know quietly through my yin, falling leaves break me
that space, now brim full and spilling all joy and remorse throughout
and so offers both thick and thin, falling leaves break me
winged heart in total free fall, longing for your touch my dear Beloved
knowing that even your breath whispers in, falling leaves break me
this scribbler is no more, surrendered to all things, to your deep ocean of
being and so, become one with it all like those falling leaves that break me
Nice edit, working in the rhyme.
Incredible write and full of imagery. 🙂
