it’s one of those days when

numbers don’t make sense

or seem to matter anyhow

08:45 10/4/2018 15

words

to what end

for what purpose other than

to write

08:46 10/04/2018 26

words

whilst they have no meaning they

push me anyway

prison guards of time

towards an agreed point in

the space time continuum

08:48 10/04/2018 49

words

even as the print appears

marching slowly across this

screen i wonder if it will see

the light of day and cause one

person to perhaps sip their coffee

more slowly than they usually do

08:50 10/04/2018 85

words

it will serve as  distraction though

as today life itself is ignoring

the numbers

08:53 10/04/2018 100

words

Tuesday Platform in the Garden and of course Day 10 of NaPoWriMo 2018

Oh gosh I love this ” i wonder if it will see the light of day and cause one person to perhaps sip their coffee more slowly than they usually do.” 💖 such a wonderfully pensive poem.

  2. Ron. says:

I, who incorporate much math (time, dates, temps, counting the country turkeys crossing my commute to early morning work while my idling engine turns over 40 thousand times, just waiting) into my own work applaud you.

  3. hypercryptical says:

Time eats its very self and sadly us with it…
I am sipping my tea more slowly as I write this (commenced writing 13:49 10/04/18) and watch time slipping away on the little clock on the lower R edge of the screen…
But I have enjoyed the distraction of these moments, this writing of words.

a joy to read Paul – this gave me so much pause my virtual coffee went cold. Time commitments are all numbers as with prisoners

    “prison guards of time

    towards an agreed point in

    the space time continuum”

Clever 5 minute poem. When I was at school we used to sing a song
time you old gypsy man will you not stay
put up your caravan just for one day
    I know
    I know
    TMI 🙂

So unique, and so real. Especially
“words whilst they have no meaning they push me anyway” As they do me and, that ticking clock as well some days.
