    So I looked up crocus. I found some (didn’t know they were crocus) in the fields close to where I live and transplanted them into my garden and they took well for a season. Haven’t seen them since. Perhaps the moles got the bulbs. Such a pretty flower and yet you refer to a dark side of it – it’s poisonous. All parts of it. And then the wistful soul.
