Tonight it is my turn to host Poetics over at dVerse and my prompt is to write a Blessing Poem. Here is my second.
May the wind at your back
carry with it the hopes and dreams
of all your tomorrows
May the rain that falls
wash the sorrows and pains
from all of your days
May the sun that shines
upon your countenance
bring with it lightness for your soul
and in all of this
May the beloved hold your heart
as you walk upon this earth and beyond
Beautiful second blessings poem Paul ~ Thank you~
Thank you Paul, another beautiful blessing! Such a lovely prompt to bless the world :o)
I like this one even more than the first, Paul.
This one I shall copy for a page in my journal. It’s beautiful, Paul.
I like how the three earlier blessings build up to the last important one.
This is perfect… blessing to where it belonged.
Thanks Bjorn.
This is lovely. I would wish for all of these things.
This is so wonderfully Celtic-sounding. Full of faith and hope. And the finale is something to hold onto:
May the beloved hold your heart
as you walk upon this earth and beyond
Thanks Victoria. The Celtic Blessings of old were obviously my inspiration here.
Awesome, concise, beautiful! Perfect; or nearly so.
Thanks Charley.
“Nothing we see or hear is perfect. But right there in the imperfection is perfect reality.”
― Shunryu Suzuki
Double play on the word. I like it!
May your god of happiness hold you in the palm of his hand 🙂
This is a wonderful blessing.
