Another challenge from De at dVerse.
Use all of these past Q words, still coming in at exactly 44 words total:
dance, lull, bubble, grin, melt, shimmer, twist, skip, green, breeze, spill, rose, journey, jar, leaves, open, shadow, cloud, spark, cue, breath(e), scar, curl, whisper
You might need hyphens. And double (or triple) shots of muse.
shimmer me a twist-skip dance
to lull this breeze-whisper(ing) breath
and spill my shadow journey
like open rose on leaves of sweet green
jar me a spark,
and curl me a grin
to melt this scar,
leave me safe in some bubble cloud
“ing” breath delights me to no end.
And jar as verb (especially when sparks are involved.)
And curled breath. And shadow journeys.
See?
The One With All the Words = magic. Those words can’t help but get all cozy with each other.
Well done, Sir. Well done.
Must be the Whiskey 😉
Wow, superb word smithing ~ Specially love ~
jar me a spark,
and curl me a grin
And that word in the end…safe in some bubble cloud, makes me smile ~
Bubble clouds do sound so safe though right? Thanks Grace.
Dang, Paul. You just can’t resist a challenge, can you. And succeed.
Really great work, Paul. Love this line especially “open rose on leaves of sweet green.”
Wow, this is mesmerizing and beautiful!
Amazing how random word selections can land on the page. Thanks for dropping by.
My pleasure.
“It certainly is amazing,” said with a curled grin, sitting on a bubble cloud. 🙂
🙂
Bubble Clouds are real you know 😉
Now I know. Rare oddities. 🙂
Paul, you won. 🙂 This is GOOD.
I crazy-love the opening line. And your parenthetical “(ing)” was so effective in controlling the rhythm.
Also this: “spill my shadow journey”
Thank You Iris. I am happy to hear you approve. What did I win? 😉
Hey Iris…I’m getting around to reading other poets but can’t access your site. Just thought I’d let you know.
well, that was amazing. how did you get all those words to cooperate?
They just moved around the page until they were happy.
What a perfect marriage all those words can be… very good.
Thanks Bjorn. Very enjoyable process.
Hey Paul! Your quadrille is dancing all over the computer screen! This is a De and Bjorn-style word party poem, with a Paul Scribbles twist.
I enjoyed the challenge very much. Things were flowing well for me.
Glad to hear it, Paul 🙂
breeze-whisper(ing) breath… sigh.. such an incredible image ❤️

“spill my shadow journey
like open rose on leaves of sweet green”
Thank You Lillian. I liked that combination a lot myself. Funny how a random set of words can land so well on the page.
I really like the energy of this, Paul.
Thank You. Random word poetry energy. It was fun to write.
A fun read as well.
I read the first line and thought, “Oh, I’m going to comment how much I adore this first line” but then I kept reading and thought, “Oh, that second line is stellar” and then on and on it went, with every line just being absolutely breathtaking. Seriously. Every single line is this is just stunning. Love them all ❤
Beautifully put together!
Thank You
